Auto Electrical and Mobile Electrical

Qualification: Level 3

Duration: 15 months

Apprentices will work with a variety of electronic systems including:
• Ignitions, alarms, immobilisers and tracking devices
• Electric windows, mirrors and seats, towbar electrics and air-conditioning
• Customised LED or neon lighting kits, parking warning systems and reversing camera

Learners also gain a broad knowledge and understanding of health and safety in the workplace and other skills associated with working in a garage.

Duration: 15 months

New learners are assessed by a Skills Coach to ensure their suitability for the programme
After this, they will complete an initial assessment and scoping to identify areas of improvement, and development goals for the apprenticeship
An apprenticeship induction is then held for new learners, where they will be introduced to the schedule of study

Materials, fabrication, tools and measuring devices used in the automotive environment
Diagnosing and rectifying vehicle auxiliary electrical faults
Inspecting vehicles using prescribed methods
Diagnosing and rectifying engine electrical faults
Diagnosing and rectifying transmission and chassis electrical faults
